Robert Alexander Diaz, III, 28, passed away in Dallas, Texas on May 15, 2018. He was born to Robert and Graciela Diaz on August 8, 1989 in Dallas, Texas. Robert was a proud graduate of the San Benito High School Class of 2007. After graduating from SBHS, he attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and North Lake College in Las Colinas, TX.
Robert enjoyed playing golf, basketball, and tennis. He found great personal satisfaction in participating in Habitat for Humanity projects.
Robert was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Manuel Ramos; paternal grandparents, Robert and Alicia Diaz.
Left to treasure his memory are his parents, Robert and Graciela Diaz; maternal grandmother, Hortencia Ramos; uncles and aunts, Rudy and Melissa Diaz, Rolando and Analiza Diaz, Omar and Rebecca Hernandez, Rozanne Diaz, Gilbert and Rosalva Salazar, Albert and Rosalinda Mosqueda, Jose and Nora Guerra; numerous cousins; and, many friends.
Robert’s family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at San Benito Funeral Home. A prayer service will begin at 7 o’clock on Monday evening. A funeral service will be held at San Benito Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Robert will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park following the funeral service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Adam Amaya, Joe Angel Guerra, Jr., Jose Angel Guerra, Michael Pena, Gilbert E. Salazar, and Demetrius Villanueva. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Noah Diaz and Sophia Hernandez.
