Yolanda Lopez Roa

Yolanda Lopez Roa, 66 ,a longtime resident of San Benito entered into eternal life on April 30, 2016 at her residence losing a battle to cancer. She was born on November 3, 1949 to Pablo R. Lopez and Juanita Alvarado in Harlingen, Texas. She attained her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Texas Southmost College in Brownsville. She retired from Correction Corporation of America after 20 years of dedicated service.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Pablo R. Lopez and Mrs. Juanita Alvarado Lopez
She is survived by her children, Mary Jane (Albert) Villarreal of Dallas, TX., Ino (Maria) Mata of Arlington, TX and Julian (Gloria) Roa, Jr. of San Benito, TX; Granddaughter, Valerie (Eric) Alvarado of Laredo, TX; 16 Grandchildren; 11 Great-grandchildren. Brothers, Pablo R. Lopez(Juanita), Enrique Lopez. Sisters, Norma Lopez, Hilda Lopez (Ramon) and Martha Lopez. Numerous nephews, Nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 3:00p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, San Benito, TX.
Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery, San Benito, TX.
