Wylma S. Granger

HARLINGEN
Wylma S. Granger, 76, passed away after a short illness on December 3, 2007 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. She was born on June 14, 1931 in Watervalley, Arkansas.
She graduated from Wolf High School in Wolf, Oklahoma.  She served her country in the Marine Cop.  She moved to Harlingen in 1966 and worked at the Marine Military Academy.  She then worked for Cole’s Cash Register Company for 37 years.  She was member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she served as church treasurer for 7 years and was the President of the Ladies’ Aid.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Tim) Petty, Jackie (Stanley-Kip) Russell, Kathy (Chris) Jackson, Alisa (Ron) Swinderman, Jennifer (Joe) Legere; sons, Gary (Jean) Hagler and Jason Krusinsky; brothers, Ernest (Verda) Spaulding, Wade Spaulding, Bill (Carol) Spaulding; sisters, Lea (Bill) Moore, Jo Howard, and Wendy Spaulding; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Wylma was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Charles L. Granger, her parents, Herbert and Rubye Spaulding; and her grandson, Stanley W. Russell.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 8, 2007, 11 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Harlingen, TX.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Paul Shepard’s Fund at 602 Morgan, Harlingen, TX 78550.
