William “Hank” Oden, 65, went to be with his Savior Lord Jesus on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at his residence.
Hank was born November 9, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Elvis Oden and Lela Mae McMahill Oden. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army Reserves for 24 years as an E-8. Hank was employed as a Depuy Distributor for 20 years and in 1988 he went to work for Valley Baptist Medical Center, where he was presently employed. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harlingen.
Hank is survived by his wife, Sally McClure Oden of HarlingHarlingenen; his sons, Todd (Tonya) and Travis both of Oklahoma City, OK, and Lee Poland (Wendy) of Minneapolis, MN; his sister, Nellie Reynolds; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Oden, Dakota Oden of Oklahoma City, OK; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Janet (Paul), Nancy, Jimmy (Jeannie), Susan (David), Doug; numerous nieces and nephews; his best friends, his dogs, Bear and Lacy. He is also survived by his family at First Baptist Church, co-workers and special friends, Neto and Gail Roser.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elvis and Lela Mae Oden.
Funeral services with full Military Honors will be held Thursday, August 23, 2012, 11 a.m., First Baptist Church with Pastor Wade Hood officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012, 2 p.m., at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City, OK.
