Veronica Garcia Burlingame

Veronica Garcia Burlingame, 36, of Los Fresnos entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 12, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Garcia Burlingame.
Veronica is survived by her precious children, Cierra De Nae Pena and Cristian Pena; her father, David Burlingame; two brothers, Danny (Jacqueline) Burlingame, William (Aimee) Burlingame, and two sisters Jeanette (Stevland) Garza, and Jennifer Burlingame; niece and nephew Sylvia Burlingame and Oliver Garza; two grandmothers, Estella Garcia and Beatrice Burlingame; as well as numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Veronica Garcia Burlingame, known to those who loved her as “Vero” or “Ronnie”, grew up in Los Fresnos, Texas and attended Los Fresnos High School and UT-Brownsville. She was the oldest of 5 children and became surrogate mother to her younger siblings after her mother passed away. Throughout her life, Ronnie was a very generous, energetic person with a contagious laugh. She was the central family planner and organizer. She was an entrepreneur who owned and operated several small businesses. Veronica enjoyed travelling, music, the beach, and Zumba, but nothing compared to the love she had for her two children, whom she adored. She was a loving supermom, and a great daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and true friend to many. Her loss is felt deeply.
Family viewing begins at 9 a.m. and friends may join the family at 12 noon with a rosary recited at 7 p.m., Thursday, July17, 2014. The funeral procession will leave at 9:15 a.m.on Friday, July 18, 2014 from San Benito Funeral Home to St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos. Interment will follow to Los Cuates Cemetery.
Her pallbearers will br Cristian Pena, Rolando Garcia, William Burlingame, Danny Burlingame, Joel Ramos and Ramiro Garcia.
