Bayview/Brownsville, TX – Toula Caras, 86, passed away September 29, 2012 at her residence in Brownsville.
She was a parishioner of Saint Spyridon Church in New York for 30 years; she enjoyed playing the piano, mandolin and entertaining.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Rev. Philip Gialopsos.
Toula is survived by her loving children, Nicholas Tanis, Vasilios Tanis, and Mary Tanis (Germano) Tombari; her grandchildren, Eleni (David) Gronner, John (Aida) Koukouras, Peter (Kerry) Koukouras; and her great grandchildren, Zoe Gronner, Evagelia Gronner, Alicia Koukouras, Georgios Koukouras, and Olivia Koukouras.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 from 1:00 P.M.to 9:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at San Benito Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
