Timothy Edward Conway (Tim) joined his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 9, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas surrounded by his loving family. Tim was born on September 7, 1970, in Metairie, Louisiana to Tom Conway and Diane Conway.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Peyton and Melba Conway and maternal grandparents Cecil and Mildred Dukes. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Carol Conway, son Ryan Conway (Sara), daughter Brinley Bennett (Colton), granddaughter Cambree Conway. He is also survived by his parents Tom Conway and Diane Conway, brothers Curt Conway and John Conway (Brandi), sister Susan McCracken (Jeff), as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Tim was born in Metairie, Louisiana and with his family moved to Brownsville, Texas in 1970, then later moved to Harlingen, Texas in 1978. He graduated from Harlingen High School in 1988 and furthered his education at Stephen F. Austin University. Tim and his family-owned A+B Muffler Shop in Harlingen, Brownsville, and McAllen. During this time, he met the love of his life, Carol, and they married July 29, 1995. After working at the muffler shop, he then worked as an underwriter at Boggus Motor Company. He fulfilled his ambition to become a law enforcement officer working for I.C.E. In Harlingen, Texas, for the past 20 years.
Tim’s hobbies include fishing, hunting, golfing, and watching Texas A&M University football and baseball. Along with doing his hobbies, Tim also enjoyed providing humor and meeting new people everywhere he went. He never turned down helping people with any type of project. Above all, Tim wore his heart on his sleeves for his family and friends.
The family will receive visitors for all services at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home, 1400 W. US Highway 77, San Benito, Texas, Friday, March 14th, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, March 15th, at 10:00 am. Following the service, Tim will be laid to rest at Raymondville Memorial Park.
The I.C.E. Honor Guard and Color Guard will be in attendance to present full honors.
In lieu of flowers we appreciate a donation that would be given to MD Anderson Cancer Center, PO Box 4486 Houston, Texas 77210 due to Tim’s brief battle with cancer. We are choosing to give the money for cancer research for pediatric and adults.
