HARLINGEN/ARROYO CITY:
Thomas Vance Muir, 60, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.
Thomas was born on May 30, 1947 in Harlingen, Texas to Clifford and Tommy Muir. He was a lifetime resident of Harlingen working over 23 years in the Banking business and most recently as a salesman with Teni-trak in Mercedes, Texas. He recently moved to Arroyo City where he could live closer to his passion, which was fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Elaine Muir; daughter, Traci Gonzalez and her husband, Alex of Harlingen; brother, Clifford Muir Jr., and his wife, Jan of McAllen; sister, Pam Funk and her husband, Tommy of Harlingen and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be from12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2007 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2007. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
