San Benito- Teresa S. Padilla (75) was called to be with our lord and savior on Tuesday, the 16th of August 2016. She was born the 15th of October 1940, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to her parents Jose Silva and Ramona Torrez
She was active in church El Verbo de Dios always willing to lend a helping hand, she was an entrepreneur she loved selling Avon, Tupperware, and Stanley for many years. What she enjoyed most was knitting and being a midwife for more than 50 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Tomas Padilla, and numerous siblings.
Survivors include her children Ruth Elena (Juan Jose) Aguirre, Ruby (Kendrick Glaze) Padilla, Tomas (Araceli) Padilla, Pearl (Jesus Jr.) Sanchez and Roxanne Padilla. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Ruth Elena Aguirre, Juan Jose Aguirre Jr., Noemi Alena Aguirre, Tomas Moises Padilla, Jorge Omar Padilla, Hayley Aliene Sanchez, Kylie Michelle Sanchez, Layla Marie Galvan, Julianna Sarai Castillo, and Jerica Samantha Castillo, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her loving grandchildren Juan Jose Aguirre Jr., Jorge Omar Padilla, Tomas Moises Padilla Jr, and son-in-law’s Juan Jose Aguirre Sr., Jesus Sanchez Jr., and honorary pallbearer Tomas Padilla III.
Visitation will be held Thursday, the 18 of August 2016, beginning at 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 p.m. Thursday within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel, 1400 West Highway 77, San Benito, Texas 78586.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, the 19th of August 2016 at 10:00 a.m. within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at San Benito Memorial Park.
