Sue (Goerges) Higginbotham

August 12, 1950 — December 29, 2021

Sue Higginbotham (Goerges) passed away on December 29, 2021 at her home in Sachse, Tx. She was born on August 12, 1950, in San Antonio. Sue was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson HS in 1968 and UTSA in 1979. She was a retired teacher.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Higginbotham St. John, her parents Harold & Lucille Goerges, and siblings Zane Naukem & Greg Goerges.

Sue is survived by her husband of 52 years the Rev. Dr. Donald H. Higginbotham, children Donna Sue Flores (Alex) and Blakely John Higginbotham(Jenna), son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Dr. Mathew St. John(Dr. Julie St. John),  grandchildren, Brady, Chris(Sydney), Kyle, Josiah, Joah, Malachi, Thad, Mathias, & Jubilee St. John, Zachary & Anthony Flores, great-grandson, Hayes St. John, sister RoseAnn Worden(Bruce), numerous nieces & nephews, aunts & uncles, cousins, and a host of friends from the churches and communities of San Antonio, Pleasanton, Harlingen, Fredericksburg, and The Woodlands where she served as a mom, minister’s wife, beloved Bible Study and Vacation Bible School teacher, and a friend to all.

Sue will be remembered as one of the sweetest persons that walked this earth, a devoted wife and friend to her husband, and perhaps, the Greatest of All Times mother/grandmother.

In lieu of  flowers, please consider giving to your church or the charity of your choice.

There are no services planned at this time, but a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
