Harlingen:
Sula Mae (Sue) Ainsworth, 90, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at her residence in Harlingen.
Sue was born on May 9, 1922 in Cottondale, AL to Sylvester and Roselene Funderburk.  She had been a resident of Harlingen since 1945 moving here from Greenville, MS.
Sue was an employee with the Valley Morning Star as an Advertising Manager for over 43 years.  She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Harlingen where she helped out in the nursery for over 20 years.  She also was a member of the Eastern Star as well as a Doe in the Harlingen Elks Lodge.
She is survived by her daughter, Aleta Sue Ainsworth of Harlingen; son, Larry Ainsworth of Harlingen; grandchildren, Cody Ainsworth of California, Jessica Gould of Florida, Tara Gutierrez of Wisconsin, Ashley Ainsworth of Wisconsin, Houston Ainsworth of Harlingen and Bill Warren of Harlingen; eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Harrell Ainsworth, parents, seven brothers, and one sister.
Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 13, 2013, with the Rev. Wade Hood officiating.  Private burial will be held at Combes Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Houston Ainsworth, Bill Warren, Randy Bauer, Scot Green, Larry Ainsworth and John T. Ragsdale.
Those desiring to do so may make memorial donations to the Salvation Army, 201 E. Monroe, Harlingen, Texas 78550 or to the First Baptist Church, 501 E. Van Buren Ave, Harlingen, Texas 78550.
