Soledad G. Villela

Soledad Villela, 85, passed away on May 16, 2018 in Dallas, Texas.

Soledad was born July 27, 1932 in Nochistlanz, Zacatecas, Mexico to Florentino Garcia and Maria Valeriana Gutierrez. She was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Dallas. Soledad was dedicated to her family and loved life. She was an avid plant and flower lover. She enjoyed traveling, music, reading crime thrillers, knitting, playing cards, and an occasional trip to the casino, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children Raquel Tovar, Isabel Villela, Fidencio Villela Jr., Joe Villela (Esther), Jovita Muenzler, Olga Villela, Rosa Puglisi (Tony) Ruben Villela, Angelica Villela, Daniel Villela (Rachel); 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Soledad was preceded in death by her father Florentino Garcia, her mother Maria Valeriana Gutierrez, husband Fidencio Villela Sr., and her daughter Alicia Bustillos.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 pm at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Harlingen. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria.
