SAN BENITO, TX. – Soila Reyna-Rodriguez left to be with our Lord on Friday, September 11, 2015. She was 92 years old.
Soila was a lifelong resident of San Benito and was born in Bishop, Texas on September 12, 1922. She was a loyal employee of San Jose Pharmacy and later Medico Pharmacy, as well as an active member of Saint Theresa Church and Sacred Heart Society.
Her parents, Pablo Reyna and Josefina Loya-Reyna; brothers Heriberto Reyna, Israel Reyna, Pablo Reyna, Michael Reyna, and Reynaldo L. Reyna; and her stepson Reynaldo Rodriguez, preceded her in death. She was widowed by James Murray Pugh and Manuel R. Rodriguez.
Survivors include her only daughter, Nora Ann Garza (Romeo Garza Jr.); brothers Jose (Tami) Reyna, Raul (Eva) Reyna, and Ruben Reyna; grandchildren Roberto (Angelic) Garza, Christina (Gilbert) de la Garza, Ruben (Laura Lisa) Garza, Selena Garza, Raymond Garza, Anna Lindsey, Joe Rey (Lisa) Rodriguez, and Gerardo Rodriguez; and ten great-grandchildren Anisia, Richard, Romi, Robert, Ava, Olivia, Ian, Damon, Maci Rae, and Ivy Elise. Also surviving her several nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Visiting hours are on Monday, September 14, 2015, beginning at one o’clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o’clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o’clock Monday evening within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel, 1400 West Highway 77, San Benito, Texas 78586.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at ten o’clock in the morning, in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Combes Street, San Benito, Texas 78586.
Committal services will then follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Soila will be remembered as a great daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend, but most of all a women of faith.
