Sixto Arredondo Jr. of San Benito, at 62 entered into the glory of his Lord and Savior on Thursday March 26, 2015 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He graduated from San Benito High School in 1970 and received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at Texas A&I University, Kingsville, Tx.
Sixto had a passion for music and composed many songs inspired by his favorite group, the Beatles. He loved to Bar-B-Q with and for family and was also an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and a collector of many comic books.
He is preceded in death by his father Sixto Arredondo Sr.
Left to treasure his memory is the love of his life, wife Rosa Medina Arredondo, his mother Aurora Arredondo, brother’s Daniel (Mary) Arredondo of San Antonio, TX, Marco (Nora) Arredondo of Portland, TX, Adam (Doris) Arredondo of Brownsville and a sister Annette Burnell of San Benito, TX, nephew's Sean, Daryl & Zane and nieces Ariel, Jacqueline and April and a grandnephew Calix.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 P.M. and 9:00P.M. on Friday March 27, 2015 with a Rosary service to begin at 7:00P.M.within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral will commence on Saturday March 28, 2015 at 10:00A.M. within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will then follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
The family wishes to thank the Medical Staff at Harlingen Medical Center, the staff at The Atrium and Gentiva Hospice for the tender care they provided to Sixto.
Pallbearers will be Danny, Marco, Adam, Sean, Daryl, and Zane Arredondo and honorary pallbearers Jose Arredondo, Lupe Arredondo and Calix Rosales.
