Sherry Wray Macomb

Sherry Wray Macomb, 74, peacefully passed away October 26, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas.  She was born  to the late Tom and Virginia Luster on October 1, 1949 in Raymondville, Texas.

Sherry graduated from University of Texas Pan American with a master’s degree in education.  She was employed as a teacher and retired after 44 years of dedicated service.

Sherry was a secretary of the Los Fresnos Lions Club, an Associate Director of Los Fresnos Rodeo Committee, and an active member of the Logos Community Church.

In her leisure time, Sherry enjoyed camping, taking care of her grandson and her retired life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Carl Macomb III; her siblings, Chrissy Daniels, John Luster and Delores Mangrum.

Left to treasure Sherry’s memory is her husband, Carl Macomb; her daughter, Sharla Sosa (Patrick); and her grandchild, Rylan Dillman.

The family would like to thank Uvalde Memorial Hospital and Main Methodist Hospital for providing their best care.

The Macomb family will receive friends and relative from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.  A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.  Following the service, Sherry will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Patricio Sosa, Doug Denny, Larry Cantu, Mark Milum, Jerry Bruce, and Carlos Salazar. Honorary pallbearers will be the Los Fresnos Lions Clubs and the Los Fresnos Rodeo Committee
