Samuel Salas “Sam “Molina, 72, entered to eternal life with his Savior and Lord the evening of September 7, 2022. He was born to the late Rev. Pantaleón Molina and Anastacia Salas Molina on March 21, 1950 in Taft, Texas.
Sam was a graduate of Howard Payne University and was a retired elementary school teacher with McAllen ISD where he had a long and dedicated career.
He was a committed Christian and a faithful member of Iglesia Bautista Emanuel of Alamo, Texas. In addition to being active in his church, Sam participated in many evangelistic outreach projects within Texas, to other states in the United States, and internationally. Sam especially loved working with children, sharing Bible stories and songs with them. He was also an active "Yellow Cap" volunteer with Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Benito Molina, Pantaleon Molina Jr., Elvira Medina, Noemi Soto, Ruth Alaniz, Eliud Molina, David Molina, and Esther Flores; sister-in-law, Elda Molina; and brother-in-law, Fred Medina.
He is survived by his siblings, Sara M. (Rev. Alejandro) Dávila, Efraín S. (Estela) Molina. Rev. John S. (Eva) Molina, and Orfalinda M. (Fernando) Hernandez; sisters-in-law, Hortencia Molina, Ana Molina, and Hortencia Molina; brothers-in-law, Richard Soto, Pablo Alaniz, and Frank Flores; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Sam's life and of God's faithfulness will take place Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Iglesia Bautista Emanuel, 322 Moore Drive, Alamo, Texas.
