Samuel Garcia, Sr., 48, entered into rest on June 22, 2008 due to a fatal car accident in Baytown, TX. Samuel was born October 22, 1959 in San Benito, Texas to Joel Garcia, Sr. and Maria De Jesus Gutierrez Garcia.
Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Abelino and Maria R. Garcia and maternal grandmother, Eulalia Gutierrez.
Samuel is survived by his wife, Norma L. Garcia of San Benito; one daughter, Roxanne Garcia of San Benito; two sons, Samuel Garcia, Jr. and Mark A. Garcia of San Benito; three grandchildren, Ashley M. Gaona, Carina L. Gaona, and Kassandra M. Garcia; his parents, Rev. Joel Garcia, Sr. and Maria de Jesus Garcia; four brothers, Joel (Melinda) Garcia, Jr. of Baytown, TX, Arnoldo (Ida) Garcia of San Benito, TX, Leonel (Rosie) Garcia of Baytown, TX, and Jesse (Monica) Garcia of San Benito, TX; and three sisters, Rosa Elia (Benito) de la Cruz, Leticia (David) Thompson, and Alicia (Cesar) Hernandez all of Baytown, TX.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27, 2008, 10 a.m., at San Benito Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Garcia Jr., Mark Anthony Garcia, Arnold Garcia Jr., Arnold Garcia Sr., Joel Garcia Jr., Leo Garcia, Jesse Garcia and Ventura Camacho, Jr.
