Sabin T. Wright

Sabin Trent Wright was 49 years old when he passed away on December 11th, 2023 peacefully at his home with Luke and Susan by his side.

Sabin was born in Abilene, Texas on February 1st 1974 and grew up in Harlingen, Texas with his parents Daniel and Vicky Wright and his sister Stephanie Rhyner.

Sabin attended Bonham Elementary, Gay Junior High, University Preparatory School and Southmost College in Brownsville, Texas.

Growing up Sabin excelled at baseball, football, and Steer Roping. However, his true passions were hunting and fishing. Sabin was most at home when he was chasing reds in the flats on the Lower Laguna Madre or sitting on a brush line hunting dove.

Sabin began working at a young age alongside his father Dan and his Uncle Robert Wright and Cousins Marc and Arthur Wright at their family business Wright Way Construction. Later in life Sabin helped his parents to run Border Contractors.

He is survived by Susan Coffman and his son Luke Wright; his sister, Stephanie (Buck) Rhyner; his brothers, Steven Simmons (Tessa) and Scott Simmons; his sister, Stacy Simmons Valdez (Andrew) along with nephews Ty and Jake Rhyner and many more cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas at 11:00 a.m. on January 6th, 2024 with a reception to follow at the Texas Rose in La Feria, Texas
