S. Margaret Grant, 75, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2007 in Harlingen, Texas. She was born on June 2, 1932 in Waterford, Michigan to Cosby and Rozella Jarrard. Margaret graduated from Waterford Township High School in Waterford, Michigan. She worked for General Motors until she got married. Margaret was involved with her children in the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and many of their sport activities. She enjoyed knitting dolls and collecting Beanie Babies.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Merrill Lynus Grant of Los Fresnos, TX, sons; Stanley(Annette) Grant of Fort Worth, TX, Gary(Beverly) Grant of Colorado Springs, CO., Steve(Natalie) Grant of Des Moines, IA., Dan(Elizabeth) Grant of Spokane, WA; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Morearty of Brown City, MI., Betty Lawson of Davenport, FL and son-in-law Chad Holen. She was preceded in death by her daughter Michele Holen and sister, Anna Steele.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007, 3:00 p.m., at the Indian Lake Town Hall with Rev. Emet Huntsmen officiating.
The family request that memorials may be made to the Harlingen Nursing and Rehab Center.
