Ruth L. Zurlinden, 89, peacefully left this earth to be with her Lord on Monday, August 3, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth was born September 11, 1919 in Amity, Illinois to Chris and Lena Tesch. She attended Cornell Community High School and enjoyed needlepoint and crochet.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Zurlinden on April 22, 2009.
She is survived by her son, Ron Zurlinden and his wife Suzanne; her twin brother, Russel Tesch; four grandchildren, Ron Zurlinden Jr., Rebecca Glansbeek, Mathew Rueter, and Amanda Standefer; and four great grandchildren, Trevor Glansbeek, Desiree Glansbeek, Niki Zurlinden and Nathan Zurlinden.
Visitation hours will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Friday, August 7, 2009 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at Grace Point Fellowship Church on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Danny Rodriguez and Pastor Jason Veach officiating. Entombment will follow at Mont Meta Mausoleum Chapel of Peace.
Pallbearers will be Ron Zurlinden Jr., Hank Glansbeek, Derrick Wolter, Mathew Rueter, Marvin Payton and Danny Payton. Honorary pallbearer will be Rusty Armstrong.
