Ruth L. Allen, 92, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the Veranda Nursing Home.
Ruth was a former resident of The Palms Retirement Center in Harlingen and before that lived in Pueblo, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer C. Allen and her son, Orville “Sonny” Allen.
Ruth is survived by her sister, Virginia Worley of Neosho, MO; two brothers, Harley Daniel (Marie) of Huntsville, AL and Paul Daniel (Pearl) of Harlingen; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service honoring the life of Ruth will be held in the Chapel at First Baptist Church, 501 E. Van Buren, Harlingen, 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 9, 2010, with Rev. Chris Hall officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, c/c Senior Adult Fund, 501 E. Van Buren, Harlingen, TX 78550.
