Royce Del Graham

April 6, 1964 — December 29, 2006

New York/Harlingen:
Royce Del Graham, 42, passed away on December 29, 2006 in New York, New York. Royce was born April 6, 1964 in Harlingen, Texas to Sammy and Jeanie Graham.
Graham attended Rio Hondo High School and graduated from Harlingen High School in 1982.  He attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas before beginning his career.
Graham began his career working at KGBT TV in Harlingen, TX. He held a variety of positions with various companies ending his career as president and executive producer for his company Treehouse Animation.
After college, Graham left Texas to find his path in production. Posing as an editor, Graham has lived and worked in Milwaukee, Chicago, Los Angles, and Mexico City.  After Mexico, he came to New York City.  Finding a place he could call home, he grew roots as an editor for First Editon Editorial.  It was at First Edition, that Graham’s interest in 3D animation and graphics took hold.  He was selected by Softimage/Avid to lend a hand in developing the next generation PC Desktop editing package known as Digital studio.  He was the first editor in North American to produce a national television commercial using this revolutionary new software concept.  This awakening to the power of multi function graphics and editing software shifted his editing career to a more special effects and animation driven path.
In 2000, graham and another guy left First Edition aand formed the company Just2Guys.  Starting out as a small operation, it quickly grew at an enormous rate.  In fall of 2003, the other guy left, the company was renamed Treehouse. Graham expanded his art and craft by applying new and innovative creative, animation techniques to Treehous projects and the industry at large.
Graham was most proud of his creations Revenge of the Brick and The Clone Trooper Orchestra.  The Revenge of the Brick is a 5-minute, computer-anmated mini movie starring the new LEGO Star Wars characters and vehicles.  Inspired by Star Wars Episode III, it combines the iconic building properties of LEGO with Star Wars style action for an exiting and comedic story.  The Clone Trooper Orchestra was originally conceived as a humor piece intended to fun under the credits of Revenge of The Brick.  It features LEGO mini-figure of Darth Vader acting as John Williams conducting an orchestra to clone troopers performing “The Imperial March.”  Graham was recognized during the 2005 Woodstock Film Festival for these animation creations. Graham was working on Batman Bricks, Bats & Bad Guys at the time of his death. Visit Treehouseanimation.com to view some of Graham’s work.
