Roy Martin Hoctor
September 6, 1957 — February 18, 2017
Roy Martin Hoctor passed away February 18, 2017.
His family moved to Harlingen from Memphis, TN when he was one year old. He attended school in Harlingen and college in Denton, TX. Roy served in the Air Force and lived in Japan for two years. He greatly enjoyed life before his illness. His favorite past-times included traveling, playing chess with family and friends, playing his guitar which was always by his side, and jewelry making which he was involved with up until the day he passed on to another life. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Roy was preceded in death by his father Ray Hoctor, Sr.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother Nan Hoctor Ahrendt; step-father Craig Ahrendt; his brothers Ray Hoctor Jr. (Pat) and Rod Hoctor (Sharon); and niece Lindsey Hoctor.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., today, February 22, 2017 at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria with Rev. Mark Coppins officiating.
