HARLINGEN, TX:
Rosanna C. Leaks, 95, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Harlingen Nursing Center. Rosanna was born August 3, 1912 to Nathaniel Childs and Annie Hillard Childs. She was a lifetime resident of Harlingen and an active member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carlton L. Leaks, parents, one brother and two sisters.
Rosanna is survived by her daughters, Dorothy (Cleave) McCullough and Barbara (Thomas) Robertson both of San Antonio; grandchildren, Thomas Robertson and Rosanna Robertson both of San Antonio; brother-in-law, Roosevelt “Eugene” Leaks of Chapel Hill, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2007, 2 p.m., at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Rev. Riley Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
The Leaks family wishes to thank the staff at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Dr. Roberto Hernandez and Dr. Christina Cano.
Rosanna was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
