Rodolfo M. Martinez passed from this life on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the age of 79. A San Benito native, Rodolfo was born to Roberto Martinez and Olivia Mendez Martinez on May 20, 1938.
He was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army and was an active member of the Catholic War Veterans of the USA. Rodolfo loved to fish, hunt, play poker, watch western movies, and dance. However, his greatest love was his family.
He and his late wife, Raquel Martinez, were proud parents to two daughters, Raquel (Olive) Carrizales and Rita E. (Liz) Martinez Navarrete.
Rodolfo was preceded in death by his parents, Roberto and Olivia Martinez, and his wife, Raquel.
Left to treasure his memory are his daughters, Raquel (Olive) Carrizales (Angel), Rita E. (Liz) Martinez Navarrete (Abel); grandchildren, Laura Rodriguez (David), Mario Rodriguez (Jan), Joseph (J.D.) Navarrete, Kathy Carrizales (Abel), Frankie Carrizales (Frances); ten great-grandchildren.
The Martinez family would like to acknowledge his lifelong friends at the Catholic War Veterans and his new-found family at Silver Fitness Center. We give special thanks to his dear friend and confidant Gloria Wise.
