Roberto was born July 10, 1925 in Mercedes, TX to Evaristo Vento and Adelaida “Adela” Dominguez Vento.
He is survived by his children, John Vento (Reyna), Isabel Flores (Albert), Emma Galvan (Noe), Bob Vento (Ana), and Ruth Vento; grandchildren: Amber Vento, Monique Vento, Jonathan Vento, Javier Vento; brother, Florentino Vento (Enriqueta †); sister, Herminia De La Rosa (Teodoro, Sr †.); eight nephews and eleven nieces.
Roberto was preceded by his parents, Evaristo and Adela Vento and brothers, Evaristo Vento, Jr., Pedro Vento, Manuel Vento and Modesto Vento.
Visitation will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home in Harlingen, TX.
The funeral procession will depart Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home at 8:45 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014 for a 9:15 a.m. Rosary at Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in San Benito, TX followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Y. Dominguez Cemeterio in Mercedes, TX.
Pallbearers are Teodoro De La Rosa, Jr., Juan De La Rosa, Alex Rios, Marco Rodriguez, Hector Resendiz, and Scott Elledge. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Fechner, Robert Becerra and Joseph Becerra.
