Robert Earl Wallace, 85, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at a nursing home in Harlingen, TX.  Robert was born February 3, 1927 in Reilly Springs, TX to Odie and Jesse Wallace.
Robert attended schools in Reilly Springs, TX and several trade schools in the Dallas, TX area.  He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the medical corp detachment.  He worked with E-Systems in Dallas, TX for 35 years as a Mechanical Engineer and was a dairyman.   After retirement he enjoyed traveling and then settled in Harlingen, TX in 1987.
Robert was a member of the Methodist Church, a Shriner, a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Sulphur Springs, TX, and a Past President and member of the R.G. V. Shrine Club.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Wallace of Harlingen, TX whom he married in 1987; children, Robert Timothy Wallace of Reilly Springs, TX, Julie W. Bailey of Sulphur Springs, TX, Randy Wallace of Commerce, TX; grandchildren, Jason Felkner, Joshua Luke Pawlik, Kristin Carol Hilbun, Jacob Milon Wallace, Randy Joe Wallace, D.J. Wallace; great grandchildren, Angie Joe Patrick, Dakota James Roberson, Bentlee Ryan Wallace, Dylan Hilburn; sisters, Sara Beth Hurley and Sandra Jean Goggans; step-daughters, Debra Hale of Eugene, OR and Jamie Winnett of Sulphur Springs TX; 3 step-grandchildren and 6 step- great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, John Thomas Wallace, Woobert Wallace and Kenneth Wallace; sisters, Rebecca Morgan and Florence Evelyn Glenn; grandchildren, Mary Lynn Wallace, Jaylee Felkner, Dylon Hilbun, Justin Daniel Pawlik and Robert Benjamin Wallace.
Graveside services only will be held at the Reilly Springs Cemetery in Reilly Springs, TX, 10:00 AM, Friday, July 13, 2012, with Full Military Honors, Masonic Graveside Rites, and Rev. Larry Baxley officiating.
Pallbearers will be Randy Joe Wallace, Larry Wallace, Jacob Wallace, Kenni Joe Wallace, Joshua Pawlik, Jason Felkner and Don Glenn.
Those desiring to do so may make memorial donations to the Shriners.
