Robert John Richardson

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at a 10:00 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Robert John "Bob" Richardson, 80, who died on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas surrounded by his family.
Interment will be in Pythian Cemetery in Bunkie, Louisiana.
Pastor Randy Dugas of Our Savior's Church, will officiate the services. Musical selections will be, "Be Not Afraid", "Amazing Grace", "How Great Thou Art" and "The Lord's Prayer". Thomas Richardson will give the eulogy.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife Deanna Beaubouef Richardson; one daughter, Julie Marie Aderman; one son, Thomas Lindsey Richardson and his wife, Brenda; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Margaret Zeigler Richardson; and his brother, Billy Richardson.
Robert John Richardson was born in Gilmer, Texas and was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for most of his life. "Bob", as he was known to family and friends, was the founder of Coin & Treasure and founder and owner of Lafayette Bureau of Credit Control. He became the organizer of Bunkie Class Reunion after graduating in 1954. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and playing golf. He was a member of the Wetlands Golf Club of Lafayette and the Wanna Go RV Club. Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Ryan Dease, Michael Paul Fontenot, Ryan Cooly Fontenot, Dylan James Butler, Ray Burnham and Danny Nguyen.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Richardson's name to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 3504 Lafayette, LA. 70502 or St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 417 E. Simcoe St. Lafayette, LA. 70501.
