Robert B. McCown

Robert Benjamin McCown, 88, of Harlingen, Texas, business manager for Folgers, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Valley Baptist Medical Center of natural causes.

Robert was born July 29, 1929 in Stuttgart, Arkansas, to Charles P. McCown and Roberta Kleiser McCown.  He attended the University of California and in 1955 received a Master’s Degree in Psychology. Robert served his country with the U.S. Air Force from 1949 – 1952.

He was member of Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of McAlester, Oklahoma, the Treasure Hills Presbyterian Church, and was a life-member of National Rifle Association.  Robert enjoyed riding horses and target shooting.

He is survived by his wife Linda Stair; sons, Robert and Charles; stepchildren Janet Morgan and Mark Morgan; 2 brothers and one sister; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
