Robert “Bob” Ray Hollon, 88, passed away on December 28, 2010 at his home in Harlingen.
He was born and raised in San Benito and was a graduated of San Benito High School.  Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II and was a Ford Dealer in Mercedes for over 25 years.
Bettie Hollon lost her husband of 63 years; Stephen (Jill), Ted (Jane) and James lost their father; and the world lost a great person. He is survived by six grandchildren, Stephen Jr., Lee, Lauren, Richard, Rachel and Colter.
Visitation will be held at Mont Meta Memorial Park on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. with a graveside service to begin at 10 a.m. with Rev. David Payne of the First United Methodist Church officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are his four grandsons, Wally Bunton, Richard Drawe and Dan Morrison.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to a charity of your choice.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bob’s caregiver, Nancy Garay.
