SAN BENITO, TX. – Robert Richard Degges went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at his residence.
Robert, or Bob as he was known to his friends, was born December 10, 1931 in Dallas, Texas. Bob has resided in Harlingen for 38 years after moving from a suburb of Dallas to start an industrial chemical company in the Harlingen/San Benito area known as J&B Industries.
He is survived by his son, Richard Degges (Elena) and daughter, Becky Matland-Degges (Stuart), four grandsons; Kyle, Korey, Kody, and Travis, and one granddaughter; Stephanie ‘Nikki’.
Bob was a fun loving guy that loved his family, friends, his church family, Dallas Cowboys, but most important, his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A quote from Will Rogers best describes Bob Degges’ outlook on life, paraphrased, he never met a man he didn’t like.
