Richard Arnold Anderson Jr., 64, passed away May 15, 2013 at his residence with his partner, Lisa Gonzales by his side.
Richard was born March 24, 1949 at the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, Texas to Richard Arnold Sr. and Florence (Schneider) Anderson. He was a high school and college graduate. Richard proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and Desert Storm and was stationed in the U.S. and Italy. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. Richard was member of the Optimist Club and was of the Lutheran faith.
He is survived by his mother, Florence Anderson; sister, Cathy (Pat) Cryer; nephews, Patrick (Eren) Cryer and Kevin (Dawn) Cryer; and four great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and three infant brothers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family present 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Mont Meta Memorial Park with Full Military Honors.
