Renee C. (Cardenas) Lindstrom

Renee C. Lindstrom, age 55, of San Benito, TX, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, TX.  She was the daughter of Adam N. Cardenas, Sr. and Adelina (Vela) Cardenas.  Renee was born December 6, 1962 in San Antonio, TX.  She married Jon M. Lindstrom in 1987 in Eureka Springs, AR.  She started her career as a Biomedical Technician at Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, TX in 1990, then in 2000 went to work with the Veterans Administration (VA).  She worked at the Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System VA in Harlingen, TX at the time of her passing.

Renee enjoyed sports and was a big fan of the Texas Longhorns, Houston Texans, and San Antonio Spurs.  She loved her family and loved to travel.

Renee is survived by her husband, Jon M. Lindstrom; two children, Nicholas A. Lindstrom Sr. of Temple, TX and Monica L. Lindstrom of Harlingen, TX; her mother, Adelina Cardenas; one grandchild, Nicholas A. Lindstrom, Jr.; three sisters, Hope (Tony) Bernal of Comfort, TX, Maria Cardenas of Floresville, TX, and Norma Cardenas of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Adam N. Cardenas, Jr. of San Antonio, TX and Rene Cardenas of Oklahoma City, OK.

She was preceded in death by her father, Adam N. Cardenas, Sr. and a brother, Ralph Cardenas.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place October 6, 2018 at 9:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 121 Garrison Drive, San Benito, TX.  A Memorial Mass will follow at 10:00 AM.
