Rene Homero Hinojosa, Jr. 56 passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. He was born in Weslaco, Texas on September 30, 1962 to Rene Homero & Deanna Hinojosa, Sr.
Rene was a graduate of Mercedes High School and attended the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. He was a past President of the Weslaco East Wildcats Booster Club and a member of Faith Pleases God Church in Harlingen. He enjoyed fishing and restoring classic cars, coaching, and watching “his Longhorns”. Rene enjoyed horseback riding and participating in horse shows.
Left to cherish his memories will be his wife Linda Ruelas Hinojosa; his son Rene Homero Hinojosa, III; parents Rene H. & Deanna Hinojosa, Sr.; sister Terrie Hinojosa (Hector) Garza, brother Roy Edward Hinojosa; 3 nephews and a niece: Kaleb, Jedidiah, Joshua and Abigail.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 12th starting at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas.
