Rene Garcia

Rene Garcia, 49, entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 18^th, 2024.  Rene was born July 26^th,1974 in Fort Worth, Texas to Leopoldo and Blanca Garcia.

Throughout his life, Rene enjoyed spending time outdoors and as much time as he could on the beach. Every spare moment was spent with his family and friends enjoying many evenings barbequing and listening to music. Rene worked hard as a superintendent for RO Construction in Austin, Texas, and started LR Cleaning Service Company.

Rene is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sotero and Lazara Rosenbaum, and his uncle Ricardo Rosenbaum, his paternal grandparents, Samuel and Elisa Garcia, and his uncle Richard Garcia.

He leaves behind his wife, Licinia Elizabeth Rodriguez, whom he loved dearly, his stepchildren, David (Laura), Nelson, Wendy, and 1 grandchild, Noah, as well as his beloved fur babies, Akira, Zeus, and Negrita. Rene also leaves behind his parents, Leopoldo and Blanca Garcia, and 4 siblings, Leopoldo Jr., Andres (Xiomara), Danny, Nickie (Kevin), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Friday, May 24^th from 12:00 to 9:00 PM at the Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will occur at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 25^th at the St. Ignatius de Loyola Catholic Church in El Ranchito.  Interment will follow at the Garcia Cemetery in El Ranchito.

Pallbearers include Danny Garcia, Jorge Garcia, Rafael Perez, Lee Roy Hernandez, David Garza and Angel Castillo.
