Rene Flores

Rene Flores, of San Benito, Texas, passed peacefully from this life on July 19, 2020.  He was born to the late Vicente and Margarita Flores on June 7, 1942. He was a lifelong Greyhound and proud graduate of San Benito High School, Class of 1962. He retired from PPG Industries after many years of service.

Rene loved baseball and football, and most especially, the Dallas Cowboys.  Rene was very artistic and enjoyed drawing.  What he enjoyed the most in life was spending time with his family.

Rene was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito.

His parents, Vicente and Margarita Flores, preceded Rene in death. Left to treasure Rene’s memory are his wife, Olivia A. Flores; his children, Sandra (Stephen) Brunner and Rene (Nellie) Flores; his grandchildren, Kristen Brunner, Marissa Flores, Benjamin Flores, and Samuel Flores; his siblings, Dora F. Trevino, Rosa Garcia, Noemi Galvan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
