Raymond David Brown, 78, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at a local hospital.
Raymond was born November 5, 1931 in Troy, TX to John H. and Callie Brown. He married Joann Caruso Brown on September 13, 1951. Both were members of the 8th & Harrison Church of Christ in Harlingen.
Raymond was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, a former City Marshall of Primera, TX, and was an active member in the Harlingen Saddle Club and 4-H for many years. He worked for Adams Garden Irrigation District until his retirement in 1993.
He is survived by 2 grandsons, Douglas and Kelson Brown of Harlingen and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joann Brown and his son, J.D. Brown.
Graveside services only will be held at the Harlingen-Combes Cemetery, 11:00 AM., Saturday, November 6, 2010 with Jake Vincent officiating.
