Raquel G. Zuniga

Raquel G. Zuniga, 77, of Lozano passed away at her home surrounded by her family Saturday morning November 2, 2019. Raquel was born in San Benito on March 23, 1942 to Jose Maria Gonzales & Aurora Garcia Gonzales.

She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Raquel loved to dance, gardening, and cheering on her Dallas Cowboys!

Raquel was preceded in death by her parents Jose Maria & Aurora Gonzales, newborn son Rene Zuniga, sister Delia Gonzales, and brothers Gilberto Gonzales, and Victor Gonzales.

Left to cherish her memory will be her husband Hermenejildo Zuniga, Jr., and her children: Ofelia (Edward) Ruiz and Laura (Tony) Gonzales; grandchildren: Tracy (Mario) Del Bosque, Robert (Victoria) Martinez, Daniel Ruiz, Antonio (Lia) Gonzales, Jr., Marina (Nick) Garcia, Veronica Ruiz,; great grandchildren: Julie and Ethan Del Bosque, Evan and Sammy Martinez, Jared Limon, Kimberly and Jacob Gonzales, Angelina, Nicolas, and Rebekah Garcia; brothers: David and Jose Maria Gonzales Jr.; sisters: Josefina Guerra, Gloria Huerta, Cecilia Martinez, Estella Rangel, Hermenia Gonzalez, Anita Hernandez, Elida Garcia, and Susie Ramos. numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2019 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Edward Ruiz, Antonio Gonzales, Mario Del Bosque, Robert Martinez, Daniel Ruiz, and Antonio Gonzales Jr. Honorary pallbearers: Nick Garcia, Ethan Del Bosque, Evan Martinez, and Jared Limon.
