Ramon Piñón, Jr.

Ramón Piñón, Jr., 61, closed his eyes to this world and opened them to see the face of Jesus on March 16, 2021.  He was born to the late Ramón G. Piñón, Sr. and Dominga Quesada Piñón on August 25, 1959 in San Benito, Texas.

Ramón was a proud San Benito Greyhound, a member of the San Benito High School Class of 1978.  After graduating high school, he completed trade school and became a Master Plumber.  He owned and operated Raymond’s Plumbing for 43 years.

In his leisure time, Ramón enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and working on home improvement projects.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramón G. and Dominga Q. Piñón.

Left to treasure Ramon’s memory is his loving wife, Santa Pinales Piñón; children, Amanda Lee Piñón (Danny Castro), Ramón Piñón III, and Sabrina Nicole Piñón; grandchildren, Destiny Angelique Castro and Caleb Aiden Castro; siblings, Joe Piñón, Rosie (Benny) Peralez, Rolando Piñón, Mario A. Piñón, Leti (Joel) Pereira, Isabel Piñón, Joel (Kay) Piñón, Andy Piñón, Marisela P. González, Lourdes (Rudy) Piñón, Nancy (Michael) Garcia, David (Molly) Piñón, Mark A. (Veronica) Piñón; numerous nieces and nephews.

The Piñón family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.  A prayer service will begin at 6 o’clock on Saturday evening. Ramon was an advocate for vocational education.  A scholarship for students entering the plumbing trade has been set up in his memory.
