SAN BENITO, TX. – Rafael Castro, Jr., born on October 5, 1949, died on Monday, June 22, 2015 in St. James, Minnesota. He was 65 years old.
His parents, Rafael and Eugenia Castro; sister, Ernestina Castro Alvarez; and brother, Reynaldo Castro, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his twin sister Olga, brother-in-law Dionicio Salazar and their children Olga, Samuel, Javier, Dionicio III, and Noe; sister, Celia Perez of Progreso, Texas and her children Victoria, Blanca, Juan II, Ronnie; sister-in-law, Juanita Zepeda Castro of Kittitas, Washington and her children Reynaldo, Jr., Elvira, Estela, and Irene; children of his deceased sister Ernestina: Jesus, Criselda, Eduardo, Miguel, Raquel, and Petra; and a number of other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visiting hours are on Monday, June 29, 2015, beginning at three o’clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o’clock at night, with a prayer service to begin at seven o’clock in the evening within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will commence on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at nine o’clock in the morning, in Templo Casa del Alfarero, located at 482 W. Stenger Street San Benito, Texas 78586. Interment will then follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
Honored to serve as his pallbearers will be Eduardo Alvarez, Jesus Alvarez, Javier Salazar, Dionicio Salazar, Noe Salazar, and Daniel Rey Mares. Honorary pallbearer will be Samuel Salazar.
