Phelma Marie Peel, 90, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Solara Hospital in Harlingen. Phelma was born January 6, 1918 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to William Burt and Maggie Reed. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and the outdoors.
Phelma was preceded in death by her husband Dueward Peel; daughter, Patricia Rollins; and son, Royce Vance .
She is survived by her son, Glenn (Dottie) Vance; daughter, Virginia (Clarence) Cox; sister, Ella Jean Knight; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with family present from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at Lyford Evergreen Cemetery in Lyford, TX on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Bob Cole, officiating.
