Percy Grover Marchbanks, 80 passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 in Harlingen. Percy was born December 11, 1930 in Houston, TX to Percy and Myrtle Marchbanks.
Percy enjoyed a long career in Houston and Harlingen as a Civil Engineer. After retirement, Percy was very active in the Elks Lodge, Rotary International and Texas Southmost Amateur Radio Club.
Percy is survived by his daughter, Kimberly of Houston. He also is survived by his former wife, Barbara Marchbanks of Katy, TX, stepdaughter, Kelly Minor of San Antonio and stepson, Jake Howell of Harlingen.
A memorial service honoring Percy’s life will be held at the Harlingen Elks Lodge, 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 16, 2010.
The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Percy’s honor to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of choice.
Arrangements are with Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
