SAN BENITO, TX. – Peggy Coers Cooney, born on March 9, 1942, ended her battle after a lengthy illness on Friday, July 24, 2015, with family at her side. She was 73 years old.
Her parents, Walter and Zelma Coers, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-five years, James A. Cooney; daughters, Kelly (Charles) Durham and Keri Flores; brother, Robert Coers; as well as five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The family gives thanks to Dr. Oladayo Sanusi, MD, FACP, FASN, for the many years of untold, countless hours he has given to Peggy.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Harlingen Elks Lodge on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at six o’clock in the evening for anyone who wishes to attend.
