Paula T. (Torres) Filsinger

Paula Torres Filsinger, passed peacefully from this life on September 19, 2020. She was born to the late Miguel and Rosa Hernandez Torres on June 28, 1947 in Donna, Texas.

Paula attended school in Donna and was a proud graduate of Donna High School. She went on to work for the Donna Independent School District for many years before her retirement. Paula was a devout Catholic and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

In her leisure time, Paula enjoyed designing and making jewelry and watching sports. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Rosa H. Torres; her brother, David Hernandez; and brother-in-law, John T. Walker.

Left to treasure Paula’s memory are her husband, Roger Harold Filsinger; children, Aaron Roger Filsinger (Kelly Nicole Filsinger) and Ashlon Randall Filsinger (Aracely Perez Filsinger); sisters, Maria Torres, Olivia Walker, and Maria Rosa Zavala (Jose Portillo).

Private visitation was held Monday, September 21, 2020 at San Benito Funeral Home. A memorial gathering will take place at a later date.

In lieu of floral tributes, the family requests that donations be made to the non-profit organization of your choice in memory of Paula Torres Filsinger.
