Paul John Bardee, 77, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2008. He was preceded in death by his father, Giuseppe, and mother, Antoinette; two children, Paula and David; and sister, Marie; twin sister, Pauline; and brother, John.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorann. He is also survived by his son Michael and wife Joan; daughter Margaret and husband Thomas; son Christopher and wife Tami; nine grandchildren: Jaime, Daniel, Courtney, Meghan, Allison, Ian, Nicholas, Andrew, and Jordan; and four great-grandchildren: Michael, Daniel, Paul, and Dylan. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph; sister, Elizabeth, and many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 21, 1931. He joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 17, in 1948, and served for five and a half years in the Korean War. He met his wife while both were serving in the Air Force in San Antonio. After their discharge, they lived in New Jersey, where he worked as a manager in various businesses. In 1975, they moved to Oklahoma City, and in 1985, they moved to St. Louis. They retired to Harlingen, TX, in 1998.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 710 Ed Carey Drive, Harlingen, Texas.
