Harlingen:
Patsy Clement Youngblood, 83, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Valley Baptist Medical Center after a short illness.
Patsy was born July 20, 1930 in La Ward, TX to F. Lamar and Doris Hess Clement. She was raised in Minden, Louisiana and attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA.
Patsy married Ashley D. Youngblood on September 19, 1953 and began their life together in Harlingen, Texas. She was active in the community, serving as a former board member of the Harlingen Arts & Heritage Museum, volunteer at the Valley Baptist Hospital on “F” Street, member of the Harlingen Service League, member of the First Baptist Church in Harlingen and active with the Algodon Club also in Harlingen.
Patsy is survived by her loving husband, Ashley D. Youngblood of Harlingen, TX; sister, Keitha Fox of Shreveport, LA; children, Doris Youngblood (Bill) Anstett and A. Lamar Youngblood; grandchildren, Ashley Joseph Anstett, Michelle (Jarrod) Hinton, Megan Anstett, Madeleine Anstett, Townes Clement Youngblood and Harrison Tate Youngblood; nieces and nephews, Melissa (Joseph) Cassiere, Clement (Janie) Fox, Laura (Paul) Politz and Rebecca (Michael) McDonnell. She was preceded in death by F. Lamar Clement, Doris Hess Clement and Dr. William Wade Fox, III.
Graveside services only will be held at the Minden Cemetery in Minden, LA, 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 7, 2013.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Anstett, Ashley Joseph Anstett, Jarrod Hinton, Joe Cassiere and Clement Fox.
