Patsy Ann McKaughan

SAN BENITO:
Patsy Ann (Pyle) McKaughan, age 75, passed from this life after a long illness to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen, TX.
Pat was the first daughter born to Oluf and Dortha Pyle in San Perlita, TX on August 9, 1932.  She fell in love at first site and married Don McKaughan in 1950.  They raised two daughters who have always looked to her as an inspiration of faith and goodness.  To Mom Pat, her three grandchildren were the lights of her life.  Every one of her eleven nieces and nephews had a special place in her heart.  She deeply loved and was loved by her family and friends.  Pat had a special love for children and the joy that each one brought, showed in her face.  She was a faithful member of the Eighth and Harrison Church of Christ.  Pat’s deep abiding faith in God was reflected in her life.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dortha (Pyle) Bristol, her father Oluf Pyle, her step father, Clarence Bristol and two brothers-in-law, Myrlos Water and Mickey McKaughan.
Pat is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Don McKaughan; two daughters, Linda (Tom) Speaker of Corpus Christi, TX and Donnelle (David) Hancock of Temple, TX; three grandchildren, Kathryn (Dan) Bircher, Kevin Speaker, and Jacob Hancock; great grandchildren, Clara Elizabeth and Alana; three sisters, Wanda June (Myrlos) Waters, Jolene (Leslie) Rhodes of Harlingen, TX, Barbara (Corky) Waters of Cypress, TX; a brother, Gary (Betty) Pyle of Melissa, TX; along with special friends, Jim and Genita Donaldson and Helen Stockton all of Kerrville, TX.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, nephews and great nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 14th from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Buck Ashcraft Funeral home in Harlingen.  Services will be on Saturday, September 15th, 2 p.m., at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with no grave side service.
The family would like to thank her doctors and the nurses of Valley Baptist Hospital’s fourth floor nurses for their loving care of Pat.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Sunny Glenn Children’s Home or Medina Children’s Home.
