Patricio Perez

Patricio Perez, aged 100, peacefully passed away on June 17, 2024, in Harlingen Texas. He was born on March 17, 1924, in San Benito, Texas to Martin Perez and Abundia Hernandez Perez.

Mr. Perez proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later as a Foreman for Valley Grain Elevator, dedicating 30 years to his career. He found joy in baseball throughout his life.

He is preceded in death by his son Raul Perez; his parents, Martin and Abundia Perez, his wife, Vicenta Perez; his granddaughter, Diana Collins; his son-in-law, Julian Lucio Jr.; his sister, Victoria Barrientos; his brother in-law, Carlos Barrientos; his brother, Alejandro Perez; and his sister-in-law ,Felipa Perez.

Left to cherish Patricio’s memory are his children Gloria Montalvo (Russell), Norma Tamez (Oscar), Ramiro Perez (Josie), and John Daniel Lucio (Julie), as well as several grandchildren.

The Perez family will receive friends and relatives from 1:00 pm to 9:00 on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A Talk will begin at 7:00 o’clock Sunday evening. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2024, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Nick Lucio, Randy Tamez, Oscar Tamez Jr., Reynaldo Julian Soto, Alejandro J. Lucio, Julien Nik Lucio, and Randy Perez. Honorary pallbearers will be John Daniel Lucio and Javier Gonzalez.
