Patricia Jane SoRell Williams
Sunrise: November 13, 1931 - Sunset: September 27, 2024
Patricia was born, raised and graduated in Harlingen, Texas. On Dec 2, 1931, she was enrolled in the Harlingen First Baptist Church Cradle Roll at twenty days old. Patricia remained a faithful servant to the Lord all of her days.
She was born during the Great Depression. Herbert Hoover was the 31st United States President, the Star-Spangled Banner was adopted as the National Anthem and the Empire State Building formally opened to the public. It’s this kind of rich heritage that made her a uniquely strong woman.
Patricia loved adventure. At the age of forty she became involved in square dancing and enjoyed competitive community square dancing events. At sixty, she traveled in New Mexico on a Hot Air Balloon and at seventy-eight she swam with Stingray fish off the Caribbean Islands.
Patricia worked for the Corpus Christi School Board District for twenty-five years before retiring. Initially she started as a school librarian while working on an LPN Nursing degree. Once she completed her nursing degree, she enrolled in an Auto Mechanics course to ensure she knew what mechanics were telling her about repairs to her car. From there she enrolled in a short Accounting Course to stay on top of her income taxes. She never stopped looking for ways to keep her mind sharp and she was a radical Sudoku puzzle enthusiast. Patricia was full of life, letting very little slow her down through all her days.
The desire of her heart for the final hours of her life was to transition from this earth to her heavenly home; in her own home, in her own bed and in her sleep. And she did.
Patricia is survived by her brother Cecil Ray SoRell, her daughters Brenda Brown, Elizabeth Ann Boisvert, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The family wishes to thank you for your kind expressions of condolences and continued prayers.
Rest in peace Patricia thou good and faithful servant.
