Patricia Anne “Pam” Funk

Pam Funk, 70, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 in Harlingen, TX. She was a lifelong resident of Harlingen.
Pam was born on July 12, 1943 to Tommy & Clifford Muir. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Thomas Vance Muir.
Pam is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tommy R. Funk; her son, Tommy R. Funk, Jr.; her daughter Paige Matlock (Scott); her four grandchildren: Jordan Funk, Madeline Funk, Tres Funk and Jack Matlock; a brother, Clifford Edward Muir (Jan); a sister-in-law, Elaine Muir Duvernell and her beloved friend, Prieta Gonzalez.
Pam’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was lovingly known as “Pammy” to her grandchildren. Pam was happiest spending time on Lake Toxaway in the mountains of North Carolina in the company of friends and family. She celebrated her 70th birthday last July in her beloved “home away from home” with her family by her side.
The family thanks Priscilla Gomez and Irma Gonzalez for their loving and faithful care.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 1417 E. Austin with the Rev. Scott Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Frank Davis, Jerry Funk, Graham McCullough, Bill Mount, George Toland and Steve Wilde.
